What better device than a dishwasher, designed to save and maximize our time. Pressing two to three buttons, and we can move onto other activities. However, at a certain point, foul odours can be smelled, scale deposits and residues are formed in parts of the unit and can affect performance if the necessary actions are not taken in time.
Step 1
Fill a bucket of water and add a half a pint of white vinegar. For those who are not up to speed, vinegar can replace powdered lemonade, lemon juice or dishwasher cleaner.
Step 2
Remove all shelves and baskets for hand wash, with your mixture. If the lever is not large enough to hold everything, use a sponge soaked with your product. In case the dirt is persistent, gently use a toothpick, a toothbrush or a sharp object to avoid causing damage.
Step 3
Put baking soda in the soap dispenser and operate your device without anything inside. This method will be used to eliminate foul odours.
Step 4
Clean the edges of the door and all areas around with a damp cloth. When washing, water and soap do not reach these places.
Step 5
Clean your filter. In order to go about it, you should consult your manual and follow the instructions. Usually, a thorough rinsing and scrubbing with a toothbrush should do the trick.
Remember to unplug your machine if it requires disassembling parts to reach the filter.
Good luck and wash safely!
